Digital Operations Analyst x2
About us
The Electricity Authority Te Mana Hiko is an independent Crown entity that regulates the electricity market. We are a kaitiaki of electricity, and our purpose is to enhance New Zealanders’ lives, prosperity, and environment through electricity.
The electricity industry is at a pivotal moment, with the journey towards renewable energy sources and innovation reshaping how we operate. To meet these challenges and opportunities, we’re evolving as an organisation – growing our capabilities, expanding our reach, and building a team ready to create a brighter, more sustainable future for Aotearoa. Our focus is on making a difference through bold thinking, collaboration, and delivering value for the communities we serve.
About the role
We’re on the lookout for two skilled Digital Operations Analysts to join our team and help drive our digital transformation. These newly established roles sit within the Corporate and Market Services Group, reporting to the Manager – Risk and Information Services and the Chief Information Security Officer (CISO).
You’ll play a key role in the smooth running of our digital platforms and services, being responsible for supporting their day-to-day operations, ensuring they’re secure, reliable, and easy to use. Working closely with teams across security, engineering, data, and information management, you’ll help deliver a seamless and joined-up digital experience for our people and stakeholders. You’ll also be the go-to person for helping users get the most out of our systems, tools, and platforms. Your work will contribute to incident response, service improvement initiatives, and cloud administration.
Most importantly, you’ll be part of our broader journey to modernise and uplift our digital capability, helping to shape how we deliver services now and into the future.
What we’re looking for
We’re after a mix of skills across the two roles, so if you’ve got experience in areas like end user compute, security operations, or vendor and license management, we’d love to hear from you. You don’t need to tick every box; We’re more interested in how you think, how you work with others, and how you approach challenges.
You’ll bring a solid understanding of IT Service Management and cloud environments, along with years of relevant experience. A tertiary qualification is a bonus, but not essential. Experience in the electricity or infrastructure sectors would be great but not required. You’ll be someone who can explain technical ideas clearly, stay organised under pressure, and manage competing priorities without losing sight of the details. Most importantly, you’ll be curious, proactive, and keen to help us strengthen our digital capability.
Why work with us?
Electricity plays a critical role in the quality of our lives and businesses. As an electricity kaitiaki our work is diverse, intellectually challenging and contributes to our communities, economy, environment, and the nation as a whole. We are a small but high-impact organisation where talented individuals can make a real difference.
We foster an open, collaborative environment that encourages quality, innovation, ongoing learning, and knowledge sharing.
We support a healthy work-life balance and offer a range of benefits to support our teams.
- Competitive remuneration, plus 3% net KiwiSaver contribution. Appointment into the role will be based on skills and experience
- Flexible working options
- Ongoing training and professional development opportunities
