Kōrero mō te tūranga | About the role
We're looking for an exceptional Executive Assistant to support our Chief Executive and enable them to operate at their best and focus on what is most important.
As a trusted partner, you'll be at the heart of the organisation, providing proactive support, managing competing priorities, facilitating key relationships, and helping the Chief Executive focus on the strategic leadership of the Authority.
You'll work with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders across government, the electricity sector, and the wider organisation. No two days will be the same, and you'll thrive on bringing order, foresight and sound judgement to a fast-paced environment.
Ngā kawenga matua | Key responsibilities
- Managing a complex and dynamic diary, inbox, meeting schedule and travel arrangements.
- Building trusted relationships and acting as a key point of contact for internal and external stakeholders.
- Anticipating emerging priorities, identifying issues early, and ensuring the Chief Executive is well prepared and appropriately briefed.
- Coordinating meetings, events and organisational activities to support effective decision-making.
- Providing high-quality administrative support with exceptional attention to detail, professionalism and discretion.

- Experience as a senior level
Executive Assistant, ideally in a complex organisation (within government,
a regulatory environment or in a commercial organisation).
- The ability to build and
maintain relationships with a broad range of stakeholders.
- A proactive and solutions-focused approach, with the confidence to anticipate needs and take initiative.
- Demonstrated ability to exercise sound judgement and manage confidential information with discretion and professionalism.
- Excellent organisational skills and the ability to anticipate the needs of others, prioritise workload, and meet deadlines.
- Strong administrative skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 particularly Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with an eye for detail and high level of accuracy.
