About the role

This role offers an opportunity to shape the future of communications at the Electricity Authority. As Manager – Communications, you’ll lead a high-performing team dedicated to delivering engaging, impactful messaging to reach a diverse range of audiences. From consumers to industry participants and government agencies, you’ll play a critical role in building trust and confidence in the Authority’s work and support improved outcomes for consumers.

Reporting to the General Manager – Communications, Engagement and Data, you’ll lead the development of strategies that align with our objectives and priorities. You’ll collaborate closely with other leaders across the organisation, including the Manager – Engagement, the Manager – Data and the Head of People and Capability.

Are you someone with the following?

  • Proven leadership experience, with at least 5+ years of mentoring, coaching and supporting communications teams to achieve tangible results
  • Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving skills
  • A track record of planning, leading and delivering strategic, integrated communications programmes
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • A commercially savvy and collaborative mindset and the ability to build and maintain effective relationships
  • Experience leading through change and an ability to work in an agile environment
  • Experience and/or knowledge of the energy sector, regulation or similarly complex sectors (advantageous).
