You will work on a variety of interesting projects and engage directly with sector participants and senior decision-makers at the Authority. You will lead thinking and stakeholder engagement to develop insights into pricing issues in the evolving electricity networks sector and play an important role in implementing and evolving the New Zealand Transmission Pricing Methodology.

  • A relevant qualification in economics, public policy, law, engineering, finance, or a related discipline
  • Previous experience in policy, regulatory, or economic roles - ideally in the energy or infrastructure sectors
  • Strong policy writing skills, including the ability to prepare clear and concise briefings and formal advice for senior stakeholders
  • Proven ability to produce high-quality, evidence-based work, often within complex or ambiguous problem spaces
