Kōrero tetūranga | About the role 

Join the Electricity Authority and help ensure the integrity of New Zealand’s electricity sector. As a Senior Investigator, you’ll lead complex investigations into alleged breaches of the Electricity Industry Act, regulations, and the Electricity Industry Participation Code, supporting fair, efficient, and reliable electricity markets. 

You’ll analyse evidence, engage with industry participants, provide compliance advice, contribute to compliance monitoring programmes, and support education initiatives that promote better industry practice.

Nōuterourou | What you’ll bring

  • Significant experience in investigations, compliance, regulation, or enforcement
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to assess complex financial, legal, or technical matters
  • Experience interpreting legislation, regulations, or industry rules
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
  • A relevant tertiary qualification and/or equivalent experience
  • Experience in the electricity sector or a related regulated environment is desirable.
